August 2026 Course Update

Our annual aerification has been completed, and the golf course reopened earlier this month. The healing process is progressing very well, helped by favorable growing conditions with plenty of sunshine, high humidity, and recent rainfall.

While aerification can be disruptive to the short-term golfing experience, it provides tremendous long-term health benefits to the turfgrass. The process relieves compaction, improves oxygen availability to the soil and roots, and allows water to better infiltrate the turf canopy. We have a short window each year to complete this important work, but the benefits carry us through until our next annual aerification.

Since reopening, we have seen steady improvement throughout the golf course. Turf density continues to improve, and the favorable weather has helped accelerate the recovery process. We are very pleased with how the course is healing and expect conditions to continue to improve each day.

2026 Overseeding: Around Thanksgiving — Exact Dates TBD
The golf course will remain open for play during the overseeding process.

2027 Annual Aerification: August 1–8 — Reopening for Play August 9

Driving Range Conditions & Access

• Range open daily on mats, weather permitting
• Priority given to golfers with tee times
• Tuesday maintenance closure approximately 10:00–11:30 AM

New Greenside Bunkers

All greenside bunkers at Tidewater Golf Club have now been fully renovated, featuring fresh sand and newly laid sod along the edges to improve both playability and aesthetics.
