    Course Update 3/1/2026
    I think spring may finally be here.  The winter has been brutally cold in North Myrtle Beach, including our second year in a row with snow cover for more than a couple days.  We are fortunate to be able to cover our greens during periods of below-average temperatures, which protects the crown, or growing point, of the bermudagrass from drying out.  This gives us a cushion of ‘insurance’ when winter fronts bring very dry cold air across our region.  Because of this, the bermudagrass, especially on the greens, is waking up and taking advantage of the increase in sunlight hours we are experiencing every day.  This will continue through the spring; however, the green does not start growing at its optimum until we get nighttime temperatures well into the upper 60’s paired with higher humidity.  Ball marks and divot recovery will be slow until then, so please exercise proper etiquette and repair your pitch marks and fill divots with the divot sand in the golf carts.

    New Greenside Bunkers

    We’re thrilled to announce that all greenside bunkers at Tidewater Golf Club have been fully renovated! Each bunker now features fresh sand and newly laid sod along the edges, enhancing both playability and aesthetics.

    With this phase of our bunker renovation project complete, we remain committed to elevating Tidewater Golf Club as a premier golfing destination.

    Winter Range Practice

    We’re now practicing on our mats.

    To keep the range in top condition, we close it on Tuesdays from 10:00 – 11:00/11:30 AM for maintenance. For the best experience, we recommend practicing between 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM or after 3:00 PM, as the range is busiest before rounds begin. During peak times, priority is given to golfers with a tee time over public range users.
