Tidewater Golf Club Helps Push Coastal Escape Package To Top Of Must-Play Lists
As much of America hunkers down for winter, savvy group leaders are planning their spring 2021 Myrtle Beach golf trip, and the Coastal Escape package, anchored by Tidewater Golf Club, is at the top of many lists.
A stay-and-play deal, the Coastal Escape provides golf course condo accommodations and seven courses to choose from. The offer starts at $267 for two nights and two rounds and Tidewater, a top 100 caliber layout, is the Coastal Escape’s crown jewel.
Tidewater is home to nine holes that play along either the Intracoastal Waterway or Cherry Grove Inlet, making the course Myrtle Beach’s prettiest. The holes along Cherry Grove – 3, 4, 12, 13 – are particularly stunning and help drive Tidewater’s popularity among traveling golfers and locals alike. While Tidewater is the bucket list course among the Coastal Escape’s offerings, players can fill out their itinerary with a diverse golf course lineup. Cape Fear National, a Tim Cate design, located near Wilmington, N.C., is worth the drive, and Arcadian Shores is one of the Myrtle Beach’s area’s top 20 designs.
Brunswick Plantation and the Pearl, which features six holes that play along the Calabash River, are both memorable 27-hole facilities. Azalea Sands, under new ownership, Beachwood and Eagle Nest round out the golf course offerings for the Coastal Escape, which caters to players who want to stay-and-play along the North Strand. Spring is the most popular time of the year in Myrtle Beach as golfers, many of them slow to emerge from winter at home, head to the beach to enjoy 75-degree days and beautiful golf courses.
