Myrtle Beach Elite Stakes Its Claim To Being Grand Strand’s Premier Golf Package.
>>> Golfers Can Play 4 of Myrtle Beach’s Top 20 Courses With Popular Package
CHERRY GROVE, S.C. -- The Myrtle Beach Elite, led by Tidewater Golf Club, has long been regarded as one of the area’s premier packages for golfers who want to challenge the area’s best courses. Popular opinion about the Myrtle Beach Elite has now been reinforced by a survey of PGA Professionals.
MyrtleBeachGolfTrips.com anonymously surveyed Myrtle Beach area PGA pros, asking them to rank the Grand Strand’s top 20 courses, and four layouts that are part of the Elite package made the list, including two of the top 5.
Tidewater Ranked Myrtle Beach's Third Best Course.
Not surprisingly, Tidewater was ranked Myrtle Beach’s third best course. Tidewater is, by consensus, the area’s prettiest layout, highlighted by eight holes that play along either Cherry Grove or the Intracoastal Waterway. The layout has been ranked among America’s top 100 public courses by Golf Digest and Golf Magazine, and with holes like the third and 12th, a pair
of stunning par 3s along Cherry Grove, the reasons are many.
A multi-night, multi-round package, the Myrtle Beach Elite also features fifth-ranked Prestwick Country Club, No. 12 Arrowhead Country Club and No. 18 Arcadian Shores.
A Pete and P.B. Dye design, Prestwick has long been a favorite of insiders. The challenge is substantial but fair, making the course a treat to play. Arrowhead, which enjoys a prime location just minutes from the airport, is renowned for its year-round conditioning and holes that play along the Intracoastal.
Arcadian Shores was famed architect Rees Jones’ first solo design and the course, on the heels of a 2017 renovation project, is better than ever. Golfers booking the Myrtle Beach Elite package also have the option of playing the Maples, Jones and Byrd courses at Sea Trail Resort.
